In line with our social justice values, Mitullah Shako and Associates Advocates has a vibrant and dedicated pro bono arm that offers services in dispute resolution, consultancy and research. We are a member of Thomson Reuters Foundation’s TrustLaw pro bono referral scheme and Legal Resources Foundation Trust’s pro bono panel as well as taking on many other individual cases through our established needs assessment framework. We focus on charitable, religious, civic, community, non-profit and educational matters affecting members with limited resources.

Our work also includes taking on public interest litigation to address human rights violations including malicious prosecution suits, police brutality cases, socio-economic rights litigation as well gender and sexual minority rights advancement cases, among many other causes.
